The Fitness program at Appalachian State University has experienced tremendous growth within the past year. In August of 2017, we opened the new Tour De Quinn, a high-tech cycle studio, by converting a racquetball room. The new cycle studio saw 2,104 visitors in its first semester. But that's not all! In January 2018, we opened the FUNctional Training studio, also housed inside the Quinn Recreation Center, through coverting another racquetball room (right next to the new cycle studio).

How do I get to these awesome new spaces?

Visit the Quinn Recreation Center. The QRC is located on Stadium Drive on the west side of campus directly across from the football stadium.

Do I need to sign up?

No! For any of our group fitness classes (including those in the new cycle studio) it's first come, first serve. Passes are handed out by facility supervisors beginning 20 minutes before the start time of classes. And for the FUN studio: we have open play hours and group fitness classes. For open play, you must complete a waiver (for your first visit only) then sign-in on a sign-in sheet whenever you come to workout in this space.

Can I use the cycle studio when there is not a group fitness class going on?

No. You must be participating in a Group Fitness class or P.E. class to use the cycle studio.
