Intro to Fitness at the SRC (60 mins): This fitness clinic is designed to orient student and facility members to the SRC cardio room, indoor track, and weight room. The Fitness Education Specialist will go through area policies, safety concerns, overview equipment, and answer any questions you might have about UREC fitness services.

Mountaineer Muscles (60 mins): This is an introductory clinic to weight training for all Mountaineers. If you have questions about form or about what exercises target what muscles let us help! A knowledgeable Fitness Education Specialist will walk you through a few key movements to improve lifting safety and efficiency.
Women with Weights (60 mins): Lifting weights can help women develop stronger bones, enhance muscle tone, improve glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity, lower risk of injury, boost metabolism, decrease body fat and increase self-confidence and self-esteem. In this clinic, we'll walk you through weight training myths, lifting terminology, movements, and answer any questions you may have about the weight rooms at AppState.
Men & Muscles (60 mins): Building muscles while often popular for aesthetic purposes goes beyond skin deep. Muscles help you perform daily task like standing and taking stairs. Muscles also increase your metabolism and aid in insulin regulation. In this clinic, we’ll review basic lifting lingo, general lifting principles, proper lifting form for the most effective muscle building exercises, and give you other lifestyle tips to help build more muscles.
Glutes (60 mins): While many people consider the glutes only “aesthetic muscles,” strong glutes are essential to daily life. You use your glutes when walking, running, going up the stairs, standing up, and many other movements you don’t think twice about. This clinic is designed to teach both simple and complex movements in order to strengthen these important muscles.
Upper Body (60 mins): The Upper Body Fit Clinic is designed to help participants learn about the different muscle groups in the arms and shoulders as well as the exercises that work those muscles. During this clinic we will discuss different exercises to work the biceps, triceps, trapezius, and deltoids.
